McNutt Creek Sewer Connector Phase II
Site Engineering contracted with Oconee County to install the McNutt Creek Sewer Connector Phase II consisting of 9,800 lf of 18” diameter Gravity Sewer Main.
The project included the installation of 410 LF of 54” Casing installed through split face solid granite & weathered rock at depths of forty feet underneath an active expressway. This casing was installed utilizing a small diameter motorized boring unit manufactured by Robbins, Inc of Solon, Ohio.
Gravity sewer line was installed through an active golf course and in close proximity to residences abutting the golf course. Site Engineering worked closely with the Course operator for scheduling and as few inconveniences as possible for their customers. Coordination involved blasting and removal of 4500 cubic yards of rock below the water table.
