Site Engineering contracted with Gwinnett County to repair the Chattahoochee tributary stream Bush Creek in Duluth, GA. 3,500 linear feet of stream were repaired through a sensitive residential neighborhood. The project included the construction of: a swale system, clearing, grubbing, excavation, modification of existing stream channels, stone cross vanes, j-hooks, stone cascade structure, riffles, environmental protections, plantings, by-pass, erosion control, and final restoration.

Backflow from the Chattahoochee could raise the stream level a dozen feet in a matter of hours during releases from Lake Lanier dam. Extreme caution was paid to the release schedule and working conditions.
