Construction of a complete sanitary sewer collection system and associated water infrastructure, including new gravity sewer, manholes, water mains, roadway improvements, and related site restoration. The project also included demolition and abandonment of existing utility infrastructure, railroad crossing work, and trench rock blasting required for sewer installation.
Duluth Pinecrest Area Sewer System

Work Performed:
- Installation of approximately 7,000 LF of 8-inch gravity sanitary sewer
- Installation of approximately 400 LF of standard and composite polymer concrete manholes
- 300 LF steel-cased jack and bore beneath an existing railroad
- Demolition of an existing wastewater pump station
- Installation of approximately 3,600 LF of 6-inch and 8-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) water main
- Installation of isolation gate valves and fire hydrants, including connections to existing water mains
- Abandonment of existing water mains as required
- Blasting and removal of trench rock to facilitate sewer installation
- Roadway reconstruction and asphalt paving restoration
- Implementation of erosion and sedimentation control measures
- Restoration of disturbed areas and completion of all related appurtenances necessary for a complete and functional system
